Posture correction

To have a good posture is essential for long-term wellbeing.

There are two types of posture correction:

  1. Dynamic: The alignment of the body when moving, i.e. walking, running, squatting or balancing
  2. Static: The alignment of the body when not moving, i.e. sitting, standing or lying down

It is never too late to improve a compromised posture. However, the longer one has had poor posture habits, the more patience and willingness may be required to take ownership and perhaps change some lifestyle-habits.

We will tailor advice and strengthening exercises to suit your specific needs and circumstances. The success of the treatment relies on your commitment to performing them.

There are many benefits of having a good posture; it may

  •   Alleviate and reduce headaches and migraines
  •   Improve digestion
  •   Improve breathing
  •   Improve self-esteem
  •   Improve flexibility and mobility
  •   Improve balance, reducing the risk of falling
  •   Reduce discomfort and pain

All exercise prescriptions, stretches and posture corrections provided are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
